E. G. Maxwell (full name and dates of birth and death unknown) was an English cricketer. Maxwell's batting and bowling styles are unknown. A club cricketer for Liverpool Cricket Club, Maxwell made a single appearance in first-class cricket for the Gentlemen of the North against the Gentlemen of the South at The Oval in 1859.〔(【引用サイトリンク】title=First-Class Matches played by E. G. Maxwell )〕 In a match which the Gentlemen of the South won by 206 runs, Maxwell took the wicket of Charles Wynch in the South's first-innings, finishing with figures of 1/22 from 7.1 overs. He scored 16 runs in the North's first-innings, before being dismissed by V. E. Walker, while in the South's second-innings he again took a single wicket, that of Arthur Walker to finish with figures of 1/24 from thirteen overs.
